2027: Oluremi Tinubu rallies women for Tinubu’s reelection, unveils 6 zonal mega-rallies

From Cyril Mbah, Abuja

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has rallied Nigerian women to lead the charge for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Oluremi gave the charge in Abuja while inaugurating the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Presidential Women’s Campaign Council, where she unveiled an aggressive women-led mobilization campaign for the President’s second term bid.

According to her, the campaign strategy will feature six zonal mega-rallies across the country’s geo-political zones, with a grand finale in Abuja to consolidate support for the administration.

The First Lady charged APC women supporters to take the party’s message of Renewed Hope 2.0 to the grassroots and secure votes for the party from the presidency to the State Houses of Assembly.

She said the women’s campaign structure would consolidate various support groups under the APC platform into a single, formidable force.

Senator Oluremi declared that the objective of the new structure is to deliver total victory for the party at all levels in the 2027 general elections.

She urged Nigerian women to remain steadfast and committed to the Tinubu administration, citing signs of nationwide economic recovery as justification for a second term.

The First Lady listed declining inflation, growing foreign reserves, increased local and foreign investment, and greater support for farmers as evidence that the administration’s economic reforms are yielding results.

She argued that re-electing President Tinubu would ensure continuity and consolidation of the gains recorded in the last three years.

Oluremi also urged the women leaders to return to their respective states immediately after the inauguration and commence door-to-door mobilization for the President’s second term.

She emphasized that women’s support would be critical to consolidating the administration’s policies and sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.

Political observers say the move signals an early and strategic start to the APC’s 2027 campaign, with women, who constitute a large chunk of the voting population, placed at the centre of the party’s electoral strategy.
